"No one needs to be perfect..."
As a longtime promoter of healthy cooking and eating, Amy's focus is on plant-based eating, with a rebellious twist - that she and no one, needs to be perfect. She also has expertise in weight management, healthy aging, diabetes, and general nutrition.
Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Dietetics, became a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN), Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and has been practicing in the fields of weight management and diabetes for nearly 30 years. Amy’s mission is to share her nutrition expertise in the form of recipes, tips, consultations, and blogs to promote health and wellness in a relatable fashion. Most recently, Amy added Holistic Cannabis Practitioner to her qualifications.
Amy will discuss the appropriateness of cannabis use for various nutrition and medical concerns, including pain, anxiety, insomnia, autoimmune disorders, cancer, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and more. Amy’s skills include providing guidance on modes of consumption, dosage, and safety, in partnership with your prescribing physician. |
Amy uses her skills of mindfulness, curiosity, and empathy to build trust and rapport with her clients and aims to share her uncomplicated style of cooking and living healthfully to support others in health…but always with a healthy dose of rebellion.
